We are seeking a new board member with HR experience to help formalize the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes helping to further develop the Executive Director evaluation, creating volunteer and intern policies, reviewing staffing structures and future needs, and staff handbook.

Seeking general Board members. Each Enroot Board member is expected to actively participate in at least one Committee. Officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary) are also members of the Executive Committee, along with the Executive Director who is a non-voting Board member.

We are looking for passionate and entrepreneurial individuals to support One Family’s plans for growth and scale, with a particular focus on expanding our network of supporters and other stakeholders. Desired areas of expertise for future Board members includes (but is not limited to) Diversity/Inclusion, Human Resources, Legal, and Governance.

A human resources committee member provides guidance to the organization on a variety of human resource issues ranging from compensation to performance management.

The board member responsible for human resources provides oversight to the organization’s leadership in six main areas: hiring, workplace policies, compensation, evaluation, grievances/whistleblowing and layoffs. The key aspect of the role is around human-resource governance, while implementation is the responsibility of the organization’s leaders.
