Program VolunteersWhat do you like to do? Play an instrument? Read? Sew? Hike? Cook? Art? Computers? Play sports? Are you a business owner? A mechanic? An Attorney? Whatever it is you do in your life, there is always a young person who would be interested and with whom you can share your knowledge, talent, passion and time! Program Volunteers are partnered with Boys & Girls Club staff to either assist with a program, or perhaps even lead a small group in an activity.MentorsThink back to a special person in your life when you were growing up. It might have been a teacher, a coach, or a neighbor. Someone who was always there for you, someone who made you feel special, and someone you could talk to and they would listen. You can be that person to a young person. For as little as an hour a week, you can be a mentor! The mentoring takes place right at the club.Junior VolunteersAs a Jr. Volunteer, you get to be a positive role model to our younger members. You will be involved in the LIT program and receive on-going training to learn fun games to play with the kids, how to help them with their homework. You will get to spend time reading with them, and other activities for them to show you how smart they are! |

| About us | The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe offers after school and all-day programs to 750 registered members ages 5-18 each year. These young people come to the club where they are greeted by caring adult staff and volunteers. They participate in enrichment programs such as art, technology, leadership, sports, nutrition, job-readiness, academic, music, and life skills to name a few. These are experiences that for many, they would not have, without the Boys & Girls Club. We provide the hope and opportunity that our young people need and deserve in order to succeed in their lives. |
